Jimmy, James, JC
Nick Berlette
James Cody Contino, who I've always known as Jimmy, is a man who cannot be adequately described by a simple website such as this. But I'll give it my best shot. I met Jimmy when I was 16, and through the years he's been my most trusted friend, unintentionally proving it time after time. For an only child raised by a single mother, I can't tell you how much of an impact he had on my character and my moral barometer, other than to sum it up by calling him the big brother I always wished I had.
All the laughs we shared, the long talks we had both good and bad, are what I'll always remember as the best years of my life. Jimmy pointed me in the right direction every single time I lost my true north, and he never hesitated to do the same for anybody else who might need it. I legitimately can't recall anyone ever having a single bad thing to say about him. He is, and was, everybody's best friend.
I could write about this guy till it's my turn to die, and it would still fall short of a real introduction. He never lost his cool, even with the pressure through the roof. He never lost your trust, and he always told the hard truth. He knew what he believed in, and knew what he didn't. For a guy with no idle time, Jimmy always managed to set some aside for a friend. In times such as now, when I feel the most lost, I just push myself to live more like Jimmy.
